“Loss is nothing else but change, and change is Nature’s delight.”
Marcus Aurelius

The Storm’s Insight
The call to the Self is often wrapped in loss.
Loss of illusion.
Loss of the stories you’ve been telling.
Loss of the ways you’ve been performing to survive.
Make no mistake — this loss is confusing and painful.
Your ego will fight tooth and nail against the collapse.
You will have no idea whether you’re doing the right thing.
You’ll make mistakes.
You’ll get it wrong.
You’ll lose people and things you never thought you could live without.
This path is not for the faint of heart.
It is lonely.
It is unforgiving.
The only comfort and understanding you will find is what you can provide yourself.
And if you’re fortunate, you may encounter a few courageous souls walking their own path alongside you.
But the greatest loss will be you.
You must lose who you were in order to begin finding who you actually are.
Most people will never answer this call. The cost will feel too high. The loss too great.
So the question remains: Are you most people?
The Forge’s Reflection
Before you can begin your new story, the old one must collapse.
The Sovereign’s Task
What would be the greatest loss if you chose to answer the call?
What makes it feel like a loss?
What, exactly, would you be letting go of?
